    • Direct subscriber growth continued in Q3 in France (+6.5%), supported by Family offers, and RoW (+4.0%), supported by improved retention despite a strong prior-year comparison base.
    • Partnerships subscribers stood at 2.9 million, down 17.1% YoY reflecting the expected run-off of legacy distribution partnerships, while ARPU increased 16.7%, reflecting a more favourable offer mix.
  • FY26 REVENUE AND PROFITABILITY OUTLOOK RAISED
    • FY26 revenue is now expected to grow slightly compared with FY25, versus the previous expectation of broadly stable revenue;
    • FY26 adjusted EBITDA1 guidance raised, now expected to exceed €10 million (versus previous expectation of positive adjusted EBITDA), while continuing selective investments;
    • Positive Free Cash Flow2 expected for the third consecutive year.
  • BUILDING THE MOST TRUSTED MUSIC PLATFORM FOR ARTISTS, LISTENERS AND PARTNERS

    • Deezer Club: expansion to Brazil (live since August 2026), extending delivery of exclusive music experiences for premium subscribers (including private concerts, exclusive merchandise and remix competitions);
    • Deezer for Business: empowering major music partners like SACEM and Winamp to harness Deezer’s distinctive technology and bring new music experiences to their audiences.

Paris, 27 October 2026, 17:45 CET – Deezer (Euronext Paris: DEEZR; ISIN: FR001400AYG6), the global music experiences platform, published its consolidated revenue for the third quarter of 2026 (period ended on 30 September 2026).

Alexis Lanternier, CEO of Deezer, commented: “We delivered revenue growth for a second consecutive quarter, supported by the continued expansion of our Direct business.  We are focused on building lasting connections between artists and fans, giving listeners more reasons to choose Deezer and stay with us.

Through Deezer for Business, we are putting our technology to work for partners such as SACEM, Europe’s largest authors’ society, and Winamp, whose desktop player is still actively used by more than 40 million users worldwide.

We are convinced that sharing our distinctive capabilities – including our AI detection technology, recently recognised by Billboard and TIME – will help build a fairer and more diverse music ecosystem. Our continued operational progress and disciplined execution give us the confidence to raise our full-year revenue outlook and strengthen our profitability outlook, with adjusted EBITDA now expected to exceed €10 million in 2026. We continue to invest selectively in future growth and remain on track to generate positive free cash flow for the third consecutive year.”

Deezer continues to drive innovation across the entire music ecosystem, expanding Deezer for Business, bringing fans closer to artists through exclusive experiences in France and Brazil, and reinforcing its leadership in AI music detection.

Deezer for Business: SACEM and Deezer announced SACEM Play, a professional music solution, offered under the SACEM brand and powered by Deezer’s technology. SACEM Play is designed for independent businesses that wish to play music in their spaces. Its gradual launch is planned by early 2027.

Deezer Club: Deezer Club, Deezer’s exclusive membership experience for premium subscribers, is now available in Brazil, following the original launch in France in 2024. The Deezer Club gives fans the opportunity to participate in experiences beyond streaming, including concert tickets, VIP access, album listening sessions, exclusive events, merchandising opportunities and remix contests. Most recently, Deezer Club offered a chance to see Celine Dion in Paris, which generated interest from nearly 100,000 people.

AI detection tool: Deezer has announced a new feature, expected before the end of 2026, allowing users to exclude AI-generated music from search results. Deezer has detected and excluded more than 42 million AI-generated tracks from recommendations since January 2025, and has tagged over 14 million albums.

Industry recognition: Deezer has been named to TIME’s list of the Best Inventions of 2026 and received Billboard France’s Innovation Award, for its pioneering AI-detection tool. Alexis Lanternier was also recognized by Billboard as one of the most influential figures in the French music industry at the inaugural Billboard Power Players ceremony in Paris.

Consolidated revenue amounted to €133.8 million in Q3 2026 compared to €131.4 million in Q3 2025, up +1.8% YoY (+1.0% at constant currency). This marks a second consecutive quarter of growth thanks to the sustained momentum in Direct, which more than offset the anticipated revenue decline from Partnerships and Other revenue.

Direct revenue amounted to €94.1 million in Q3 2026 compared to €87.9 million in Q3 2025, up +7.0% (+6.4% at constant currency). This revenue growth reflected a larger average subscriber base, driven by the success of Family offers in France and strong subscriber acquisition earlier in the year, together with recent improvements in retention, in RoW.

Partnerships revenue amounted to €33.4 million in Q3 2026 compared to €35.6 million in Q3 2025, down (6.2)% ((7.5)% at constant currency). This evolution was primarily due to the expected run-off of legacy distribution partnerships, while ARPU increased +16.7% to €3.7, driven by a more favourable mix of offers.

Other revenue which is made up of advertising and ancillary revenue, amounted to €6.4 million in Q3 2026 compared to €7.9 million in Q3 2025, down (19.5)% ((20.6)% at constant currency), and primarily due to the termination of a content licensing agreement in Q4 2025.

Consolidated revenue amounted to €402.0 million compared to €398.5 million in 9M 2025 (+0.9% YoY and +0.6% at constant currency). Growth was driven by Direct (+6.8% YoY and +6.7% at constant currency) on the back of sustained momentum in France and RoW which more than offset the anticipated decline in Partnerships and Other revenue.

Building on its nine-month performance and expected continued revenue growth in Q4, Deezer raises its FY26 revenue outlook and now expects revenue to grow slightly compared with FY25, versus its previous expectation of broadly stable revenue.

Deezer also strengthens its profitability outlook, with adjusted EBITDA now expected to exceed €10 million in FY26, while continuing selective investments in future growth. The Group confirms its expectation of positive free cash flow for the third consecutive year.

What did TIME recognize about Deezer’s AI music detection?

To compile this year’s list, TIME solicited nominations from TIME editors and correspondents around the world, and through an online application process, paying special attention to growing fields, such as health care and AI. Notes to editors:

Deezer, is receiving nearly 90,000 fully AI-generated tracks every day, accounting for more than 50% of the total daily delivery on peak days. Deezer’s AI detection tool has been in place since the beginning of 2025, enabling the company to track a steady increase of fully synthetic content on the platform. In June, Deezer became the first (and so far only) music streaming platform to explicitly tag AI-generated music. Over 42 million AI-generated tracks were detected and removed from algorithmic and editorial recommendations, between January 2025 and August 2026.

Deezer’s AI music detection tool sets an industry standard, with the ability to detect AI-generated music from the most prolific generative models, such as Suno, Udio and Rifussion, with the possibility to add detection capabilities for practically any other similar tool as long as there’s access to relevant data examples. Not only that, Deezer has made significant progress in creating a system with increased generalizability, to detect AI generated content without a specific dataset to train on.

Deezer is now licensing its AI-detection tech, offering the wider music industry an option to support transparency and reduce the incentive for AI-music fraud. Visit https://business.deezer.com/ai-detection/ for more info.

AI and fraud – Although fully AI-generated music currently accounts for only a small fraction of streams on Deezer, between 1-3%, it’s evident that the primary purpose of uploading these tracks to streaming platforms is fraudulent. Deezer has found that up to 85% of the streams generated by fully AI-generated tracks were in fact fraudulent in 2025. When detecting stream manipulation of any kind, Deezer excludes the streams from the royalty payments.

AI is a critical challenge for the music industry – According to a study conducted by CISAC and PMP Strategy, with participation from key industry players (including Deezer), nearly 25% of creators’ revenues are at risk by 2028, which could amount to as much as €4 billion by that time. This represents a colossal, even critical, challenge for the music creation sector as a whole. https://www.cisac.org/services/reports-and-research/cisacpmp-strategy-ai-study

AI tracks are removed from recommendations – Songs detected as AI-generated are automatically removed from algorithmic recommendations and are not included in editorial playlists. This  is a first step in making sure that these tracks don’t dilute the royalty pool in any significant way. Potential future actions, including updating our supplier policy and removing/demonetizing content need to be based on careful consideration.

Two new patents – In December 2024, Deezer applied for two patents for its AI Detection technology, focused on two different methods of detecting unique signatures that are used to distinguish synthetic content from authentic content. The patents have been published by the EU and US patent offices in June, 2026.

Opinions on AI-music

In November 2025, Deezer commissioned the world’s first survey focused on perceptions and attitudes towards AI-generated music. The survey was carried out by Ipsos with a total of 9000 people in 8 countries, US, Canada, Brazil, UK, France, Netherlands, Germany and Japan. It revealed a clear desire for tagging AI-generated music and making sure artists and songwriters are being fairly treated and paid if their music is used to train AI-models. Key results included:

  • 97% couldn’t tell the difference between fully AI-generated music and human-made music in a blind test with two AI songs and one real song
  • 80%  agree that 100% AI-generated music should be clearly labeled to listeners
  • 73% of music streaming users would like to know if a music streaming service is recommending 100% AI-generated music
  • 52% of respondents feel that 100% AI-generated songs should not be included in charts alongside human-made songs in the main charts

FAQ

Figures updated to reflect Deezer data as of July 2026.

How accurate is Deezer’s AI music detection tool?

Deezer’s AI detection system has an accuracy rate of 99.8%. It may miss approximately two AI-generated tracks out of every 1,000 and incorrectly flag fewer than one genuine human-made track out of every 10,000.

Which AI models can Deezer detect?

The tool currently detects music generated by leading commercial models, including Suno, Udio, and Riffusion. Deezer can add detection capabilities for other generative models when relevant data examples are available.

How much AI-generated music is streamed on Deezer?

Fully AI-generated music accounts for between 1% and 3% of total streams on Deezer. Up to 85% of streams on fully AI-generated tracks were identified as fraudulent in 2025. Deezer removes fraudulent streams from the royalty pool.

How does Deezer label AI-generated music?

Albums containing detected AI-generated music are clearly labeled on Deezer. The labeling system launched in June 2025, making Deezer the first and, so far, only music streaming platform to explicitly tag AI-generated music for listeners.

Can other organizations license Deezer’s detection technology?

Yes. Deezer has made its AI detection technology commercially available to organizations across the music ecosystem since January 2026. Potential users include streaming platforms, rights organizations, distributors, and other industry stakeholders. More information is available at business.deezer.com/ai-detection.

Deezer – Live the music

Great news for music lovers! Deezer HiFi now supports lossless high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz, bringing more detail, depth and clarity to your listening experience.

The best part? It’s included in eligible paid Deezer plans at no extra cost. No separate Hi-Res subscription needed!

What’s new?

Until now, Deezer HiFi offered lossless audio at CD quality (16-bit/44.1 kHz). With this upgrade, compatible tracks can now reach 24-bit/192 kHz.

Think of it like a high-resolution photo: more information can mean finer details. In music, this helps preserve the nuances of the original recording, from vocals and instruments to the dynamics of a performance.

What does “up to 24-bit/192 kHz” mean?

It means Deezer can support lossless high-resolution FLAC recordings at resolutions of up to 24-bit/192 kHz.

The exact resolution depends on the title and the available source master. When a high-resolution version is available, Deezer automatically prioritises the highest-quality version within the existing HiFi experience.

How do I activate it?

Simply select HiFi in your audio-quality settings. Deezer automatically prioritises the highest available quality for each track.

  • Mobile: Go to Profile → Settings → Music or Audio preferences → HiFi.

  • Desktop: Open the audio settings in the player and select HiFi.

A few things to know

  • High-resolution availability
24-bit/192 kHz is available on compatible tracks, with the quality depending on the original recording and master.

  • Will you hear the difference?
You might notice more detail and clarity, especially with compatible headphones or audio equipment. Your setup and listening environment also play a part.

  • Do I need new equipment?
Not necessarily! HiFi works on supported devices, although compatible audio equipment can help you get the most out of high-resolution sound.

  • What about data usage?
Lossless and high-resolution audio can use more data and storage, so Wi-Fi is recommended.

Ready to rediscover your favourite tracks? Tell us what you think in the comments!

The upgrade expands Deezer’s lossless listening experience with high-resolution FLAC at no additional cost for eligible paid subscribers.

  • 24-bit/192 kHz: High-resolution FLAC streaming for compatible tracks.
  • No extra cost: Included for eligible paid Deezer subscribers.
  • CD quality upgraded: Compatible tracks now reach high-resolution audio.

Paris, October 14, 2026 – Deezer, the global music experiences platform, is upgrading its HiFi experience to support lossless FLAC streaming at up to 24-bit/192 kHz, at no additional cost.

The move takes Deezer beyond its CD-quality HiFi offer and brings high-resolution audio to everyday streaming. For music lovers, that means more of the original recording’s detail, depth, and dynamics can be preserved from the studio to their listening experience.

Why is Deezer upgrading its HiFi audio experience?

Until now, Deezer HiFi has already offered lossless FLAC streaming at CD-quality resolution, generally described as 16-bit/44.1 kHz. With this new upgrade, compatible tracks can now be streamed at up to 24-bit/192 kHz.

The two numbers describe different aspects of digital sound. Bit depth refers to how precisely the volume of each moment is captured, while sample rate refers to how many times the audio signal is measured each second. Together, they describe the resolution of a digital recording.

How does lossless FLAC preserve recording detail?

The upgraded experience is delivered in FLAC, a lossless audio format that preserves the original audio data rather than discarding information to reduce file size. Unlike MP3, which uses so-called lossy compression, FLAC can be decoded back into the same audio data that was encoded.

This helps retain nuances of the original recording, including the texture of vocals, the detail of acoustic instruments, the impact of percussion and the sense of space around a performance. The result is a more faithful listening experience, particularly when using compatible headphones, audio systems or an external DAC.

Deezer is making high-quality listening part of the core paid experience rather than treating it as a niche add-on. HiFi is available to eligible paid subscribers at no additional cost, subject to market, track and device availability.

Try Deezer HiFi to experience lossless music across compatible devices.

FAQ

Figures updated to reflect Deezer data as of July 2026.

What audio quality is Deezer introducing?

Deezer is introducing lossless FLAC streaming at up to 24-bit/192 kHz for compatible tracks. This expands the existing CD-quality HiFi experience, generally described as 16-bit/44.1 kHz.

Does the HiFi upgrade cost extra?

No. The upgraded HiFi quality is available at no additional cost to eligible paid subscribers, subject to market, track and device availability.

What is FLAC?

FLAC is a lossless audio format. It preserves the original audio data instead of removing information to reduce file size, as lossy formats such as MP3 do.

What equipment is needed for high-resolution audio?

Listeners need compatible headphones, speakers or audio systems. An external digital-to-analog converter can also be part of a high-resolution listening setup. The device, connection and playback system all affect the final experience.

Deezer – Live the Music

Deezer introduces a new toggle for music fans who want to avoid AI-generated music completely, taking further action to improve the user experience

This on/off toggle will be available before the end of 2026, and will allow users to exclude AI-generated content as they search for music, creating full focus on discovering human creators

Deezer has detected and excluded more than 42 Million AI-generated tracks from recommendations since launching its detection tool, and has tagged over 14 million albums

Paris, October 13, 2026 – Deezer, the global music experience platform, is now introducing additional measures related to AI-generated content on its platform. In 2025, Deezer was the first streaming platform in the world to detect, tag and exclude AI-generated content from algorithmic and editorial recommendations, in order to increase transparency and minimize AI-related streaming fraud. Now, Deezer will also be letting users remove fully AI-generated music completely from their streaming experience, with a simple toggle button.

Why is Deezer giving users more control over AI-generated music?

“The explosion of AI-generated content continues to impact the whole music ecosystem, and we believe in shaping a future based on transparency and choice, with respect for artists, song writers and music fans. We remain committed to minimizing any negative effects, while empowering our users to control their music experience to the greatest extent,” says Alexis Lanternier, CEO, Deezer. “We’ve seen a clear user demand for the ability to filter out AI-generated music, and we are now giving everyone the option to remove this content completely from their streaming experience on Deezer, and focus only on human creators and creations, if they wish.”

According to a Deezer/Ipsos study from November, 2025, nearly half (45%) of music streaming users would like to filter out 100% AI-generated music from their music streaming platform. By activating the new toggle, Deezer users can make sure AI-generated tracks, albums, and the related artists, will not be included in search results. If the user would like to regain access to AI-generated tracks, they will simply have to de-activate the toggle.

How does Deezer detect and label AI-generated music?

Deezer’s proprietary, patent pending, AI detection tool, has allowed the company to be the first to detect and exclude more than 42 Million AI-generated tracks from algorithmic and editorial recommendations. In June, 2025, Deezer also became the first music streaming platform to explicitly label AI-generated music, and since then over 14 million albums have been tagged. (For additional info and statistics, see notes to editors.)

Deezer’s new measures will be introduced globally before the end of 2026.

FAQ

Figures updated to reflect Deezer data as of August 2026.

What is Deezer’s new AI music toggle?

The toggle is a user setting that allows listeners to exclude fully AI-generated tracks, albums and related artists from Deezer search results.

Can users turn the setting off again?

Yes. Users can deactivate the toggle at any time to regain access to fully AI-generated music in search results.

Does the setting apply to all AI-assisted music?

The feature is designed to exclude fully AI-generated music. Deezer’s current detection focuses on content created entirely through generative AI platforms. Music that includes limited AI-assisted elements as part of a broader human creative process is treated differently.

Why is Deezer introducing this feature?

Deezer is introducing the toggle to respond to user demand for greater transparency and control. A Deezer and Ipsos study found that nearly half of music streaming users would like to filter out fully AI-generated music.

How much AI-generated music has Deezer removed from recommendations?

Deezer has detected and excluded more than 42 million AI-generated tracks from algorithmic and editorial recommendations between January 2025 and August 2026.

Does Deezer already label AI-generated music?

Yes. Deezer became the first music streaming platform to explicitly label AI-generated music in June 2025. More than 14 million albums have been tagged.

Why does Deezer exclude AI-generated tracks from recommendations?

Removing detected AI-generated tracks from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists improves transparency, limits their organic reach and helps protect the integrity of the royalty pool.
